Ready to go the distance, some RWD models can claim 303 miles of electric range. AWD models are rated at 266 miles of electric range. Standard range RWD editions are rated for 220 miles.

This EV is a 2024 Top Safety Pick. Plus it has some driver assistance that is unique to the Hyundai family of brands. For instance, the rear cross traffic alert and blind spot monitor can trigger an avoidance steering assist. An available head up display use augmented reality technology.

SE models have the entry-level version of Highway Driving Assist (HDA) as well as the full adaptive cruise control system. This stop-and-go feature works well with a lane keeping assist.

SEL models receive the more advanced HDA semi-automated system. Plus the FCA system is more potent, watching for oncoming traffic, side traffic and junction dangers. An evasive steering assist is added to help drivers when the chips are down.

A blind spot camera system and a surround view camera system help the Ioniq 5 driver in many different situations. A reverse autobrake is added to strengthen the power of the rear warning sensor.
